My friend is brining her daughter and was asking me if i knew anything about it. I dont!
Do you bring them there in costume? What kind of shoes would you put on your child being that they are walking all day long in the parks?
Any tips?

We always bring dresses from home it is much cheaper then buying them at the boutique. My daughters always just wear sneakers with the dresses, its a much more comfortable day that way. It is such a fun experience, my girls have done it 3 times and every time the its truly magical for them.

We bring a dress from home. Although, the last time we were there I bought DD the package that includes a t-shirt and skirt (not a princess dress). DD changes at BBB. At Disney Springs, the dressing room is part of the experience, so there is NO way, I would have my DD already in her dress. IMHO, since the renovation to the Disney Springs BBB location, the experience is far and away better than the one at the castle. The castle, is still of course, the castle, but the ambiance, the size, and everything Disney has done to enhance the experience in Springs, has made it our go to choice.

We brought a dress the time we did it with DD. Most kids had their own dresses, some bought a dress and a few did just hair.

We did sneakers. My kids don’t own dressy shoes (they never get worn), and sneakers are comfy and glittery anyway.

My advice: time at BBB varies. Took us over 1.5 hours at Disney Springs. Took my sister 30 minutes at the castle. If you want a longer experience, book off hours (end of day when no one wants to do it). I thought it was worth every minute. Sleeping on the hair was no big deal.

We loved it for our then 6 year old. I think too young loses the conversation part of it, which makes it such a performance. It was very sweet and my 6 year old was the perfect age. I’d say it’s geared for 5-7 year olds. A kid who could catch the dialogue. The adorable back and forth may have made our experience longer. My kid and the fairy godmother in training really were enjoying each other!

Take your own pictures too. It was so annoying that the pics from that experience didn’t get onto our photo thing. Luckily, I took a bunch myself and they were amazing.

I tipped. I totally didn’t think of it until it was over (and had to get change and go back in which was awkward). When I go back, I’d count this in. I don’t know why it never occurred to me.

We always bring our own stuff. We have only mostly done it on the cruise though. Once at WDW, and she wore a cute non princess dress and her walking sandals (Saltwaters)

Definitely bring from home. We didn't do the BBB (DD was too young) but she wore quality closed toe sandals (something with a nice supportive insole) or Keds maryjanes.

DD is doing this in November- I plan on bringing a princess dress for her and she will be wearing sneakers - just because it's Disney and no way she will be able to last in her dress shoes!
