What kind of school is this??? and who drove this child to hopital?? A teacher? a lunch aide? the first one who pulled out their car keys???? That schools emergency procedure is insane!!!!! what would happen incase of a fire??? would they call the fire dept or does everyone bring their coffee cups to the water fountain and hope for the best........ jeez..... I hope she's feeling better......I would consider switching schools

That is horrible. Why weren't the parents notified to come and get the child? Why wasn't 911 called? It IS definitley hard to keep track of every little thing on playgrounds, but, this school's policy is unacceptable. I'd be PIZZED if DS was in Kindergarten and I recieved NO CALL and found out the school took it in their own hands!
Im so sorry to your niece and I hope she feels better soon.

Can anyone say law suit???
This is exactly what is wrong witht his country. Don't you think the parents energy would be better channeled through lobbying to make sur ethe district policy changes so that this never happens again?

Re: disturbing news today...whats wrong with people...
I agree with the previous posters on the kid throwing the rock could be innocent, but I do know that a kindergartener (for the most part) does know right from wrong & does know empathy - or at the very least sympathy.
I would be completely pizzed off if ANYONE took my child off school grounds & didn't notify me. There should be some serious repercussions over that alone. I understand the need to act in an emergency but call an ambulance. At minimum I want a call from someone while they're on the way to the hospital.
