Has any one had this, how long did it take you to recover.. Following a special diet anyone...

My DH did, and had two bad episodes, years back. He hasnt had any issues in a long time. Lots of fiber, even metamucil. You may need antibiotics if you have an infected pocket. As far as no seeds and nuts, a few Dr's told him that has been disproven and he hasnt stuck to any special diet

My husband could eat whatever he wants. When he was on the antibiotics I believe he was on a low fiber diet. He was hospitalized for over a week. Then he had to be on a high fiber diet. He also had those chewable fiber pills. After his second flare up he had to have surgery.
