Do any of you have dogs?

How did you do with the dog and the babies? I find our dog to be very needy and realized this after we had Reilly but my patience for him is zero right now. I'm thinking that when the twins come along having all 3 of them home and the dog is going to drive me insane!

I have a dog. he is needy, but he realized he is now at the bottom of the list. Its sad, and I feel bad but there is no other way. He adjusted.

Now he is only needy at night when the kids are in bed

we have a very needy dog and when the twins arrived she was almost depressed and doing bad things in the house.
she finally adjusted and now is much better.. i think it just takes time.

Yeah see I feel bad too because before DD he was the king of the house and now DH really is the only one to pay attention to him.

we have a dog, he isnt needy but def likes attn.

We had DD, so he knew there was change and been nothing but a great protective dog.
The twins came home and he didnt know any different and if anything just ignores them or goes for a little sniff.

Its DD who likes to harass him now, headlocks, pulling ears etc.

We have 3 dogs. At times i feel that i could go certifiably insane but we make it work. The babies do take up most of our time now but we try to make special time for the dogs each day. My little poodle sits on my lap every morning while the twins are sleeping and i am having my coffee and putzing around on the computer. And my other 2 are pit mixes so they are pretty big. They still get their time form us where we will sit on the floor with them and play a little bit. Maybe not as long as we used to but we get in as much time as possible. I told DH that when these babies come it will be a big adjustment for them and we can't just ignore them. so far, what we have been doing is working and everyone is happy Hopefully it stays this way!

I have an Italian Greyhound which is a very hyper and ridiculously needy dog. I will admit it is not easy with the three of them. I will be holding one baby with the other baby on the couch next to me and the dog will be trying to sit in my lap...its def getting annoying sometimes. BUT as soon as my babies are asleep its dog time. He sits on my lap, plays with his toys and sleeps with me in bed. Just like everyone else said..its rough but we make it work.
