Do children get sea sick?
I have a history of getting sea sick in rough water on the ferry, but have been on several cruises and been fine. My husband has never been, but we are going to Canada in three weeks. I looked up sea bands for kids but most reviews were for car sickness...TIA

Re: Do children get sea sick?
I think any one at any age can get sea sick. I would ask your pedi what is the best thing to give them...

Re: Do children get sea sick?
We went on a cruise when DD was 2 and our ped said no, children that young can not get sea sick. I don't remember the scientific explanation exactly, but it had something to do with the imbalance in adults that causes sea sickness is not present in children under 5 yet? And something with how they learn to walk and their balance prevents sea sickness? Sorry, I don't remember the details, but I remember the answer was a definite no.
DD was totally fine the entire cruise and that was October to Bermuda, so the water wasn't totally calm.

THIS- we went on a cruise with the kids back in 2006 and the doctor on the boat along with our pediatrician said the same thing.

Re: Do children get sea sick?
I will call my ped. Thanks for the responses..conflicting opinions, but I will probably bring sea bands just in case.
