do dogs get allergies?

I just made an appt with the vet but I thought someone on here might know what is going on too. Ollie sneezed about 10 times in a row then rubbed her head/ears all over the couch, then chased her tail and licked her butt for a very long time. I don't know if this is all related or if they're separate issues. I thought it was allergies but I don't even know if dogs get allergies! Anyone know what this might be?

yes I think dogs definately get allergies! My dog sometimes sneezes also but I notice its during the spring months the most! Hardly ever does she sneeze in the winter. Definately try the vet

YES!! My lab Jackson sneezes, coughs and scratches during the spring & summer months. The coughing gets so bad sometimes he wakes us up at night.
I usually take him to the vet at the start of allergy season and she gives him a shot and it eleviates it for a few months.

I think Catain bob has allergies too. he sneezes a lot when he's in the backyard and rub his ear on the grass or whatever is in front of him. at first i thought there was something in his ears, but there's nothing in there. It has to be allergies because i sneeze just as much.

I am currently going through allergies with our dog.. she has to go back to get tested again.. the food elimination did not work.

mine never sneezes, but she licks like crazy.. but there are so many different types.. and this is the high season for it

It is allergies! And a slight trachea issue but the vet wasn't too concerned about that. Anyway he told us to give her benadryl so we're going to try that tonight
