Do dry cleaners clean area rugs?
My den area rug needs to be cleaned badly before  arrives. I would rather take it out and have it cleaned. My mom told me some dry cleaners clean them.
Do you know how they clean them? What kind of chemicals they use? I need it to be safe b/c I have pets and kids that are on the rug constantly.

There are companies that specifically clean area rugs; they pick them up and deliver them back to your home nice and clean and smelling great! I'm sorry I don't have a recommendation as I had this done about 10 years ago. JMO, but I would think that the dry cleaner would be mucho $$$ to clean it. Look on line yellow pages?

Oh, and one other thing, I know that they clean them that they will not be harmful to pets and children.
