Do feel self-conscious about food?
I was just in line at the lobby snack shop (buying a snickers) and my old manager came in. He looked at my belly, said "congratulations" and then looked at what I was buying. Same thing happened one morning in the cafeteria when I was buying breakfast and I ran into an old co-worker.
I hate that! I know it is probably just in my mind, but I feel like once you are pregnant everyone judges what you eat. If I was not pregnant I would not think twice about it I just want to enjoy my food/snacks guilt free

I feel you and I learned someone always has something to say. I ignore it. As someone who tends to be strict not pregnant, I am enjoying it now.

Nope, not at all. There is plenty of time for that after the baby comes and I still look 5 months pregnant.

Re: Do feel self-conscious about food?
I think its soooo annoying and so rude! People at work did that to me too! "Oh I dont think those Doritos are good for the baby." I feel like saying I dont think that cake is good for your ***! And then people think everything is a craving! They laugh and say ohhh the baby is craving a bagel today?? I'm like no its just a normal breakfast. I just hate when people say annoying things for no reason! Especially with my hormones now! I couldnt blow up on people kinda easily if I let myself!

Try not to let it get to you. I've been eating sushi (eel rolls which are cooked and are ok to eat during pregnancy) and when I mentioned it to a coworker, she completely flipped out on me about it.

someone made a comment to me the other day when they saw me getting my morning coffee. People need to keep their opinions to themselves!!!

Hahaha...my Dunkin Donuts guy always looks at my 37 week belly, and says "Decaf?" I'm like, uh, noooo.......I can have caffeine, and have been coming in here for this entire pg, and you always ask if I want Decaf..lol....now we joke about it!

Re: Do feel self-conscious about food?
i do but only when it comes to "things pregnant women should eat " ie. sushi, cold cuts, coffee etc. I consume all of the above (in moderation, moderate moderation ) and I hate the looks I get from some people. Screw it, ill eat what I want and I will enjoy it
(I am a pro at staring back )
