Do I have to bring DH to the breastfeeding class?
I want to take a breastfeeding class at the hospital and DH doesnt think he needs to go with me but I told him it will help him just as much as it will me. Did you bring your DH's with you?

We just had this discussion this weekend at a BBQ....I didn't think I needed too but all the other mommies were like he definitely needs to be there so he understands your concerns, can help you calm down if things aren't working, he'll learn how to support you. They give Daddy tips on how they to can be a part of BFing.

i actually have my BF class tonight at Winthrop. DH is coming with me and just this morning he's like...what exactly and I going to learn? I figure he probably won't learn much, but as a PP said he can learn my concerns and can be educated to maybe help me and support me.

I think it's whatever your DH is comfortable with...my DH came with me, but my friend at work refused to take the class w/ his wife. He's old school and feels it's a female thing.

wow. I didn't even know there was such a class. Knowing my DH, he'd probably feel very uncomfortable being in a place like that. lol. But I think that if your husband is fine with it, then he should go. I'm sure it would be very beneficial for the both of you

DH took the class with me & we were both glad he came. It was VERY imformative for both Mom's & Dad's!
I was in a class with 20+ Mom's-to-be & out of the 20 there were 5 Dad's-to-be. It was cute - all super supportive Dad's-to-be. All had questions & were interested. Great teams.
Breastfeeding isn't all about us & our breasts. Dad's take a big role in it too.

I went to a breastfeeding class and there was only one other couple aside from DH and me attending.

Thanks ladies. DH said he would come with me. Its also offered so late, 7pm, so by the time it is over I will be too tired to drive myself home anyway.
