Do I have to give her YoBaby yogurt @ 1 year old?
I LOVE yogurt but they're all low fat and non-fat.
Can she eat this? She only takes a few spoonfuls of mine when she sees me eating it

I think as long as it doesn't have artificial sweetners it's fine. I think the big difference with baby yogurt is that it's full fat. I guess they figure the little ones need the fat and calories, I know mine does.

YoBaby is made w/ whole milk vs. most other yogurts that are lowfat or nonfat. Babies do need fat in the first few years, that's why they go on whole milk usually at 1 year. If DD is only eating a few spoonfuls of your yogurt I don't think you need to give her Yobaby. If she starts to eat more you may want to try it.
BTW - Target seems to have the best price on Yobaby.

Good question because DS is now eating 2 yobaby's at a time for lunch (along with turkey, apples, cheese, etc) and its getting quite expensive!!!!

I agree! I give both of my boys a YoBaby yogurt almost every day! That's almost $10/week for yogurt.
For those of you who don't use YoBaby, what other kinds are there? I think my boys are spoiled.

I'm not sure what the brand is but there is another brand that makes Plain whole milk yogurt in the big container and you can then add your own fruit to it. It's actually healthier that way because it's a lot less sugar. If I could actually stomach yogurt I would do this but it's all I can do just to feed it to DD.

Stonyfield and Horizon both make a large container of full fat yogurt. I buy these and add my own fruit, much more economical for me.

Me too, but at $3.99 a pack, I think I need to find a generic Yo Baby!

Re: Do I have to give her YoBaby yogurt @ 1 year old?
Sure... we've been giving Alex yogurt since she was about a year old, but I try to avoid lowfat/nonfat yogurts, and I also try to avoid any yogurt that has any kind of sweetener in it, whether it's aspartame, or just sugar. I get dannon's plain yogurt that has no added sugar, and I mix it with fresh fruit for her breakfast every morning and she loves it.

Dannon and stonyfield farms make the big plain whole milk yogurt container. But for some reason the stonyfield farms one has cream on top... ick. Makes my tummy turn just looking at it!

Pathmark makes a yokids generic version (low fat). I buy this for my 2 year old...I wish they made a whole milk version for my 1 year old.

I've been giving DS yogurt for about a month now, he loves it. I just did it. He's 10 1/2 months now. I think that I found regular store brand plain yogurt and it's not low fat.
