It can't hurt.
A lot of people don't make them anymore for some reason and it's the one thing that could set you apart from another candidate. I think it's worth the time spent making it even if you don't get asked to see it. What happens if they ask to see one and you don't have one with you? I had mine with me to show and there was a lesson in there that got the superintendent interested in me...s o you never know

I agree. The principal saw a card that a parent wrote to me, thanking me for being such a wonderful teacher..blah blah. He loved it and I heard him comment to the others.
