For the petite ladies (5'1 and under) when did you start showing?

Re: Do Petite Women Show Earlier?
Honestly? I dont think so. I am far from petite and I showed pretty early on. I also asked my doctor about taller women showing differently and he said it was BS - depends on the person.

Re: Do Petite Women Show Earlier?
Some do and some don't... I was thin pre-preggo - not really petite, and I didn't show until I was almost 6 mts pregnant. Then I saw women the same size as I was showing at 10 weeks - it really is a mystery!

I'm 5'3" and didn't show really until like 20-22 weeks either. I think it really has to do with how you're carrying overall, more than your frame/size.

Re: Do Petite Women Show Earlier?
I think my weight gain was more noticeable then my pregnancy, if that makes sense. Meaning, I didn't have a belly, but my butt and boobs got bigger.

Re: Do Petite Women Show Earlier?
I think it is different for everyone. I'm 5ft 2in and was of average weight when becoming pregnant. At 16 weeks and change I don't think that I show too much. If I wear a tight shirt you can tell, but if I'm wearing one of those babydoll shirts you really can't tell unless you know I am pregnant.

Re: Do Petite Women Show Earlier?
I am petite and my weight gain was obvious from the start. But I didn't pop until 17 weeks or so. I didn't look pregnant at all until about 12 weeks. But I did look like I gained weight.
I am now suffering from some serious rib pain because I have a smaller frame. It sucks but well worth it.

Re: Do Petite Women Show Earlier?
I think it is different for each person and each pregnancy.
I am bigger at almost 16 weeks than I was at 20 weeks in the frist pregnancy.

Re: Do Petite Women Show Earlier?
I am not petite, but thin. I was 5'3" and 112 lbs before getting pregnant. I think I showed very early. I was wearing maternity pants at 10 weeks! There are pics in my album.

Re: Do Petite Women Show Earlier?
i am small framed, 5'5" and started showing as early as 8 weeks and in maternity pants and did the whole bella band thing too. I guess it really just depends.. i def. never had washboard abs or anything before pregnancy. Maybe its hereditary too, I know I carry just like my mom did and Im all belly.. people mistake me for being much further along or carrying multiples..so not really sure.. everyone carries different I guess.

Re: Do Petite Women Show Earlier?
I'm petite. 5 ft tall and 15 weeks. I noticed a change at 8 wks but not obvious to the public. I just began to show. I was also on medication which made me bloated. I think, it all depends on the person. The same goes for if you are carrying a boy or girl. Everyone's body is different, it all depends on your (genes).
