Do sliding doors typically have a lock on them on the outside?
Or do they just lock from the inside? Anyone have them and have any input? Thanks

I don't have them now but from growing up I recall them only having an inside lock...

They only come with an inside lock, but you can put a lock on the outside as well...we did this because we use our sliding glass door as our main entry.

We recently had an extension put on our house and the rear entry is a sliding glass door. It has both an interior and exterior lock. We have an Andersen Window brand door. This door is the main entry to our home.

Do you know how you do this? Thank you!

Re: Do sliding doors typically have a lock on them on the outside?
ours has a key lock on the outside - we just installed ours from pella - but you can't get in if the safety lock is on which is on the inside on the track
my parents have ones from marvin and they are a key lock
