Re: Do they always take blood at the initial consultation?
Mine didn't - but I had already had CD 3 testing done, so they gave me lab slips for the other testing I needed.

Re: Do they always take blood at the initial consultation?
I'm not sure if they always do....
I can tell u that I am a big baby and am completely scared of needles. The chick who took my blood used some kind of pediatric needle and (I can't believe I'm actually saying this) it didn't hurt. I was unable to sleep or eat for 3-4 days before the appt bc I was so scared and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. Plus, I think i was felt so much better after the dr was so helpful, than they probably could have taken 50 vials of blood and I would have been ok.

Re: Do they always take blood at the initial consultation?
I didn't b/c I had CD3 testing done already and had some other b/w done elsehwere for something else. It depends what you've had done or not. You can always wait if you want to after talking to the doc.
