Do we HAVE to switch to milk?
Is there anything wrong with giving formula over milk? DD is 1.. I have SO MUCH formula left. Plus, DD hardly eats FOOD thru out the day. I am lucky if she takes 10 spoonfuls of food the whoe day.. what to do??

I would use up your formula while integrating milk into her day also so that when your formula is used up the transition should be pretty easy.

You DEFINITELY need to be giving more solid foods before transitioning to milk.
Milk, while good nutrition, doesn't have all the vitamins that formula/breastmilk contain. That is why when the transition is done it's imperative that the child is eating the majority of their calories through food...
Definitely try to work on getting more solids incorporated throughout the day...I'm going through a phase where DS isn't eating a ton of solids either but i try a few times a day to offer different ones and it's slowly but surely getting better...good luck!

Re: Do we HAVE to switch to milk?
DD will be 1 in a few weeks and I'm not switching her to milk yet. I don't feel she eats enough solid food at this point. I plan on using up the rest of the formula I have and then switching to Next Step. I think it is fine to continue with regular formula too. To me, milk is a calcium drink and just as good as yogurt or cheese. Formula is more nutrient dense.

How much formula are you giving? My DS wasn't eating a whole lot of solids either until I cut back on his formula a little bit. I think the formula was keeping him full so he wasn't so interested in solids.
