Do we know if the worst part of the storm will be during the day or overnight?
If I was allowed to change the channel in my house off of Nick Jr. I might know this answer 
Do we have any idea if the worst of it is anticpated during the day or am I looking at setting up camp overnight in the basement (praying for the former, not the latter  )
I know its still early, but wondering if theres been an educated guess made...

For LI it will be throughout the day on Sunday.

Accuweather has most of the rain falling Saturday night.
Saturday night is around 5.5 inches of rain
Sunday morning around another 2.5.
Sunday evening about .5 inches
The winds will be on Sunday.

That's better I guess. I'd rather have the winds- which are the most dangerous part- during the day.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 10 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE SATURDAY NIGHT THOUGH SUNDAY EVENING. THE EXACT TRACK OF IRENE WILL DETERMINE WHERE THE HEAVIEST AXIS OF RAIN SETS UP... BUT A SIGNIFICANT FLOOD POTENTIAL EXISTS AREAWIDE.
