We just moved. The room that is to be the baby's room has white walls but the borders are painted in a cream/off white color. Also, his bedding set and the pictures that match have this same color in them. I really don't want to paint as I dont want to deal with the fumes in the house b/c that would obviously not be good for him and then it might be a while b/f he could move into his room and he is already 4 mos (we had a huge problem with his original furniture from bellini so he is still not in his room yet).
But, I always thought these two colors clashed until my family is now insisting to me that they look fine together...I should also note that the pictures and the bedding set have white in them as well.
This is the set:

Also, this will be the furniture it is dark wood - do you think that will look bad with white walls?: Crib and Changing table

I have seen white together with cream, and it looked really nice. I think the dark furniture would look good in any room. I really think you're fine to move him in there.

I think that it will be fine, especially since the crib will add that need color with the dark wood. Also it soiunds like you are picking up on this colors with your accesorries.
BTW- great choice in crib, DS has the same one

I have the same thing going on with my bathroom! I also thought it would look awful---well it looks awesome so far! I have white shower and toilet---mahogney vanity and ivory sink, just keep accenting with those colors... like ivory curtains...and some white here and there... white trim makes a room look crisp...it looks great together with your furniture.
