do you believe that the baby can "feel" what you're feeling?
so... got my first kicks from the bean last night. it was in the middle of the night (i was on overnight call), and i was very angry at the time over an issue i was dealing with.
told my sister about it this morning, and she told me that she believed that our babies can feel what we're feeling, and the baby must have known i was angry!
opinions/experiences with this?

Hmm interesting....it seems to me the baby is more active when I am calm and relaxed. But maybe if I were stressed, I would notice changes...I just haven't really been in that situation but it does make sense...

I agree with this. Seems the more relaxed I am, the more I feel her, and when I'm anxious or nervous about something, I don't feel her nearly as much. Although I agree with the fact that I haven't been really stressed too much.

Stresswise... they do feel it... when our heartbeats increase, theirs follow.....I saw that on In the Womb....
DH told me last week not to be mad at him b/c the baby will feel it and be mad at him too!!! LOL.....

I think some things yes, this is because when I think I haven't felt the baby in a while and start to worry the baby moves so I can feel it.

yes. I know for a fact. I am having an emotional roller coaster of a pregnancy and soon after I have a crying spell our moves around ALOT. So I am really trying not to get too emotional too often.

I guess I never thought of this. I do feel the baby in the morning when I wake up and at night when I am trying to go to sleep so I believe the calm theory. I did have some sort of a hissy fit the other day and I noticed my stomach got really hard like I had just done a million sit ups but other than that, nothing.
