Hmm, like jcrew for example? What did they do, besides capitalizing on the whole preppy look
they get their fur trim (although sometimes marked as "fuex fur" when its not) from dogs and cats in china
j.cruel
nah, does JCREW really make their fur clothing out of DOG and CAT? I will boycott JCREW in a second if this is true...
well, long story short they support the fur trade--- the violent and bloody one, ya know, from china..... thing is, china CLAIMS its rabbit fur (or whatever kind) but in reality they are really using cats, dogs, (as well as raccoons and such im sure). so, really there is no sure way to find out what animal youre wearing. it could be Fido! j.crew then agreed to stop carrying fur, but apparently their fall line has some, so i dont know. there is TONS of info online about this topic, (including videos) but i already know i dont want to support them, so i dont want to research it any further cuz it will just upset me. good luck with your decision

Re: Do You Boycott Anything?
I definitely boycott Walmart for their policies on promoting women, antiunionization and their price policies.
Exxon/Mobile because they are seen as price setters - so I won't go even if they are cheaper.
Other stores, for just bad experiences.
I'm not a Rage Against the Machine fan and I understand how people can see them as anti-police, but I believe the whole defence of Mumia Abu-Jamal is because he was denied basic rights. Paris and San Francisco have also shown their support to him.

Fast food chains - especially McDonald's.
Same thing here. All it took was watching Supersize Me (almost 2 yrs ago) and I was off McDonalds, Wendys, BK, KFC, Taco Bell, etc.
Lori - if you can handle it, read "Fast Food Nation." It goes even further!! It will change the way you eat in your own home, as well.
You know it was actually the "extras" on the DVD where Morgan Spurlock is talking to the Author of Fast Food Nation that TOTALLY turned me away. I've almost been afraid to read it...because that short interview did soooo much!

I like Michael Moore - saw all his movies and read his books - he's an extremist, but many of his points are valid if you take away the "hype" part of his speal...

I LOVE him, he speaks the honest truth!! I love when he confronts congressman on their stance on the war and he asks them to send their own kids in to Iraq if they feel so passionately about it, he is brilliant

i think boycotting them for their store policy is a little silly, but thats your perogative. you must boycott ALOTof stores then, since many do not have public restrooms.
i boycott them (nike) because their products are made by children in sweatshops overseas.

I do not use Enterprise Rent-a-car. I interned there in college and it was the worst experience of my life.
They treat employees horribly.
