Do you buy gifts for coworkers?
I have 3 IA's who work with my students, plus 4 ladies in the office. That's who I bought for last year, but then the reading teacher gave crap that the teachers should buy for the specialist (@*!^&@!&*@^). Problem is, then it gets to the point where I'm buying gifts for like 12 different people. What do you do?

She gave a list of what to buy for her That is terrible. I would def. buy for the ladies in the office, or chip in to get them something...even a plate of cookies, or chocolate covered pretzels would be nice.
I am not sure if I know what IA's are (or maybe Im drawing a blank) but if they are aides in your room, I would buy something for them as well.

No. It can EASILY get out of hand.
ETA: A collection does go around for secretaries, school aides and custodians, though. I put in for that.

I buy for the payroll secretary, xerox secretary, then the other secretaries in the office I made cookies
I also give to the Dean and Assistant principal of my academy

Our pod (k-1) chipped in and got something for the secretaries and the principal and asst. principal. We don't get gifts for each other, we usually pick a day and all order food since we can't go out for lunch

i contribute to collections for the secretaries, custodians, security guards, school aides, nurse, and even the mailman and UPS guy. It ends up being a nice chunk of change. I also buy very small tokens for the Principal and APs (like chocolates or something).

Yes, for My co-teacher and my aide...
Then, as a staff we pool money together for the secretaries and the custodians....
I do little things like bake or cute Chrismtas trinkets for friends, but I don't go too crazy for the teachers I socialize with outside of school.
