Do you call your In Laws Mom and Dad?
I do but not all the time they don't live here! I feel alittle weird sometimes saying it but I do. My husband doesn't though.

Re: Do you call your In Laws Mom and Dad?
I call them by their first name. Mom and Dad seems strange. I have a great relationship with the IL's but it seems a bit of a stretch to go Mom and Dad.

Re: Do you call your In Laws Mom and Dad?
It's so weird for me...his mom calls themselves mom & dad to me, but I have a very hard time saying it. I usually just don't call them anything, or say to DH "your mom" or "your dad". But, he was calling my mother mom before we were even engaged!!

I don't call them anything....it's too weird. If I am speaking about them to someone else in the fam I usually refer to them by their first name.

Re: Do you call your In Laws Mom and Dad?
I do, becaus that's how they wanted me to address them.. I always felt unconfortable doing so.
It got easier once my son arrived, because its a lot easier to call them grandma and grandpa!

Re: Do you call your In Laws Mom and Dad?
yes i do. they are also far way (MIL in Florida, FIL in Illinois)... i call them mom & dad as a sign of respect.
My DH does NOT call my Mom "mom"... that annoys me, but she could care less.
I guess it's an "old school" Italian thing

I do, EXCEPT when I am talking to MY mom and dad...for some reason I feel like it is wrong and disrespectful for me to call my in;aws mom and dad to them.

Re: Do you call your In Laws Mom and Dad?
I do. It's been alomst two years now and sometimes it feels weird, but I think I'm finally starting to get used to it. DH - I guess he calls my dad "dad" though I don't know that it's often that he uses it.

Re: Do you call your In Laws Mom and Dad?
Not unless I really have to. It's so much easier with kids now because I can just say grandma/grandpa.

Re: Do you call your In Laws Mom and Dad?
I sometimes call them mom and dad, usually when saying hello or goodbye, only because it is very important to my DH, and supposedly to my inlaws. I am not comfortable calling them that at all and try to do it as little as possible. My DH on the other hand ALWAYS calls my parents Mom and Dad, even though they wouldn't care either way!
