Do you care about what people think...
...about you?
Meaning... because of something I had done a co-worker told me she thinks "less" of me. I guess because I'm really sensitive that this is bothering me... what can I do so that I wouldn't care so much about what people think of me.
BTW: it was nothing bad that I did

I honestly dont. And I think that I have been much less stressed/sad/depressed since I decided to feel this way.

I used to, but not anymore.
If I did something bad, then I would- because I know I was wrong. But if I was right, then sorry. This is me. Take me or leave me. I used my judgment, I stand by it.
ETA: This applies to people who I am not close with- DH, family, best friends- of course i care.

I care what certain people think about me such as my husband, family, close friends and to a certain extent co-workers - but only because i have to see and deal with them everyday.
Its not so much that i really really care what they think - but im curious to know what I did that bothered them or upset them so much.

OF COURSE....there are certainly a BUNCH of people with whom i care what they think of me!
I really can't believe that someone wouldn't have somebody that they care what is thought about them

How do you get yourself to say, "I don't care" I just feel like ever since I was a child I've always cared about what others think and I wish sometimes I didn't

ONce you have that confidence in yourself- then you stop caring what people you don't particulary care about think of you.
For me, when I was a teenager, I used to care so much what people thought of me. In fact- what people thought of me mattered more to me than what I thought of me. I would put myself in knots to please other people. Once I got to college and grew up a little, I realized that I had to accept who I was, flaws and all, and then true friends would accept me to. I'm not perfect, and I have things I need to improve on. When I'm wrong, I say I'm wrong. But if I'm right, other people need to accept that this is the way I am. If you can't, what can I do? I know I am a good person, with good judgment (most of the time).

IMO there are certain people inyour life that you should care about how they think of you. Your family, your friends (to an extent) and your work supervisors.
Other than that....I think that you have to be confident in who you are and what you do...But nobody has that ALL the time. People always second guess and wonder...
But you can't let that rule.

I do...at least certain people. I am a smoker (I know, Bad) but I would never and will never smoke around certain people because I don't want them judging me.

I have to agree with you. I am the same way. I think I have "grown up" already but I think some people are more sensitive than others. My dh could care less of what people think and I always have a knot in my stomach if someone "makes fun of me". I think it about it over and over. I wish I didn't care.

I honestly care about what my family & close friends think of me because I have relationships with these people. I can care less what strangers think of me or co-workers.

I do- I am a very self conscious person and unfortunately I care very much if people don't like me. I am trying to not be this way anymore and I have gotten much better.

I do, and it sux~! FH is very non-chalant and let things roll off him easily, he is never stressed out and hardly upset at things, I wish I can be like that!!
