Do you drink bottled water?
Shopping today at Costco I saw a demo display of the Zero Water filter system. No more bottled water needed. This system has a 5 stage filter that really seems to filter the water better then bottled water. Has anyone else seen it?
This here for $179.99 I think he said

Re: Do you drink bottled water?
Do you just put tap water in the top part, if so thats not so bad, we used to have a water cooler in the house and getting the big bottles was a PIA

Will the system remove bacteria? We do not have this feature in the current model though we hope it may be available soon. Our current system is meant to be used with municipally treated, potable water as the current filter may not remove microbiological contaminants.
On the FAQ page, when they answered the question about why their filter is better than others, they said "People say our water tastes better.".... well, that's proof enough for me!
ETA: Other filters don't filter out bacteria, either. I just checked the Brita site, and confirmed that. This is the same as many other filters out there. It seems nice enough, but it's not a "miracle product".
I like my Brita pitcher....

Re: Do you drink bottled water?
I don't like a giant BPA bottle sitting at room temp with water in it (although it's not quite as bad as commercially bottled water that sits in there for MONTHS)
I really like the brita 'filter as I go' method best

I'm guessing, if you drink that much water it doesn't sit long enough to create mold?
I've never noticed mold in water cooler tanks...
To be honest, I've never given drinking water, bottled water or water cooler water this much thought.
It's giving me a headache.
