Re: Do you ever get the day just for yourself?

No. So in order to create one, I occassionslly take off a random day during the week, DH is at work and DD is at daycare. I run a few errands and enjoy the quiet.
This is the only way...and I end up running errands for everyone so its less relaxing and more like work...

Re: Do you ever get the day just for yourself?
For the most part no. My DH works 6 days a week and I work full time. Between cooking, cleaning, laundry, taking care of DS I never really have time for myself. My one saving grace is my in-laws live in Pennsylvania so sometimes DH will take my DS up there for a weekend so I can get some time to myself other than that no.

Do you ever get the day just for yourself?
During the summer I had a back injury and was not physically able to care for DD so she still had to go to the sitter, that was the only time...

Re: Do you ever get the day just for yourself?
No, but I'm also nursing so technically I can't just bounce for the day.
I do get time to myself between feedings when I need it though. My dh encourages me to go out and get my nails done, hair cut, or whatever. (obviously only when he is around to watch the baby)

Re: Do you ever get the day just for yourself?
Not at this point, but my baby is only 10 weeks old. I have had several hours of time to myself at once, not really for fun, but more for errands or an appointment or something I needed to take care of, during which DH or my mom watch the baby.

Yup, that's the only way to do it. I've sent DD to daycare on a day that I am already off from work (Columbus Day, for example), just so I can get stuff done or go shopping, etc. I don't do it often, but when I do, it is definitely a nice break. So much easier to get things done without a toddler in tow. The only thing is that it's never just a relaxing day. It always involves me running around, but I still enjoy the alone time.
