Yes 
Some days DS is truly deaf to everything i say and the part that really makes me want to run away is that the minute I get DH on the phone to talk to him he listens - I get so sad that he won't listen to me When I am calmer I realize that ds is around me all the time therefore he isn't always looking for approval and praise the way he is from DH who works a lot and just isn't here...

oh, yes, I've had days like that. When I feel like that I wait until DH gets home and then I escape to the office with a glass of wine or run some errands.
I hope it gets better.

Oh yeah!
The only thing that keeps me from doing it is I think CPS looks down on moms who abandon their children so I stay until the feeling passes.

Absolutely. It's totally normal. At least I hope it is anyway since I feel like that A LOT!!!! And the CPS thing keeps me from doing it too....

yes.... and that time was about 8am this morning... (see my post about DS's continual feeding / growth spurt)
I'm at work right now and shouldn't be... I'm sooooo tired... and so is DH. Mom bailed us out and came over at 11am... I'm so grateful my job has flexible hours

OMG-Stacey! You posted this at about the same time I was actually contemplating it.
I was trying to start dinner, madelyn was whining and tormenting the dog (so I had to referee), AND the baby was SCREAMING in her swing even though she was fed/burped/dry, AND as I was sauteing the rice, the flucking spoon MELTED in the pan.
I looked around at my mess of a kitchen and thought, "What would happen if I just 'left'?"

I think there would be something wrong with us if we didn't feel this way once in awhile. I get this urge at least once a day! The only thing is I hate running so I would probably just jump in my car and drive, drive, drive far away!

Oh yeah....I've totally had days like that. In fact, just a couple weeks ago I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Especially since DS has been extremely defiant lately.  Just BREATHE. If there's anybody in your life that can take the kids so you can get a break, do it. A couple hours here and there does wonders for me.
