Do you ever wish...
...that there was no texting? God I feel like people are texting me all day long, I can't stand it. I JUST got a damn text as I'm typing this.

I like texting.. however lately I have been turning off my cell when I want to be left alone. It is nice to have some peace.
What happen 15 years ago.. you used a pay phone if you were out and really needed someone.. or waited till you were home and checked your messages to talk to someone.

i'd much rather receive text msgs than someone actually picking up the phone to call me. I despiseeee speaking to others lol
At least texts I can just ignore and then go back to look at them when I want.

I hate texting. I seldom do it unless absolutely necessary. If I do get a text I respond if it's urgent but other than that I'll call the person at some point. Teaxting is just annoying to me.
Now for work I have a blackberry so I'm on that all the time during the day and even that irritates me.

I actually don't mind texting. I find it easier to ask a ques or give a quick response rather be on the phone, which I hate. But I cannot stand when people feel the need to have full out convos thru text!

Yes, a text or two, but some people want to have hour long conversations via text. I cannot deal w/that. Its so annoying. Just email me instead.

i dont text at all - or use a cell phone - i HATE cell phones - i have a prepaid one and i only have that in case of an emergency - i think cell phones in general are obnoxious  i prefer living in the stone age hahahahahaha

I keep my phone on silent but I still check it alot. I also have personal emails and FB updates going to it so I feel like it is constantly displaying new messages....annoying!
Also i remember the days when we had beepers! LOL! In 10th grade I woiuld use the payphone in the cafeteria to beep my bf "I LOVE U" Hahahahaha

not at all - i LOVE texting!! I'm not really a 'phone' person tho. I hate having to call somebody when I just have one simple question. It's a lot easier to simply shoot them a text. And I find that i talk a lot less to the people who DON'T have a texting option on their phone. Like i said, I'm just not a phone person in general, so I try to avoid calling people as much as possible. lol.

I am nota big texter,,,,I did not get into and therefore MOST people do not text me they call me. Ignore the texts and they stop  DH never texts either lol

Haha, Jenna, I remember having a huge notebook that had all of my beeper "conversations" in it. All the codes and crap like that.

Oh my gosh- YES! I've gotten a few of those. Especially since I moved right after the wedding, I sometimes get text messages from people in NY asking how Married Life is or about Colorado and what i've been up to.  Dude, I've been living here for 3 months, how am I possibly going to sum it all up in ONE TEXT? Obviously you don't really care what's going on with me, otherwise you'd call.
Honestly, I text a hell lot more than I call. But that's only when I have a quick question. If I actually have something to say or if it's a real friend that i haven't talked to in a while (esp since now i live far away) then i CALL.
So I wouldn't be able to live without either. lol. I need texting just as much as I need the actual phone

I guess from what u are saying, its a good thing.
My phone is always on vibrate and in the other room in my pocketbook so I wouldnt even know if I got a call. lol
I would send this in a text, but then Verizon will charge me 10 cents.

I like texting, because it's quick! But if I were getting texts all the time, I'd feel differently... I almost never get texts from anyone so I just use it for convenience here and there.
