all the time..and I should not do it..because as someone else posted I actually fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer if it is off

no. DH does all the time, but I personally cannot sleep with ANY noise whatesoever. hence the earplugs that are jammed into my ears every night...I am officially becoming my mother

DH does and it pisses me off! When I go to bed I like quiet. He never sets the sleep timer and I end up waking up all the time to shut the TV off.
