Do you feel children ( guests and b-day child) prefer ...

At home parties or "place" parties ??

We always go all out for my DS's birthday party at home and luckily (knock wood) since his b-day is in October we have gotten lucky 3 years straight with good weather...

We enjoy having his party at home and I am hoping that he continues to enjoy it also over the next few years..

My DD b-day is January, so no outdoor parties for her Chat Icon ..We will have to downscale a bit and have the party indoors if we choose to have them at home ..It will definately be a little tougher being creative with an indoor party I would think, but since she's a girl, hopefully crafty type things will suffice Chat Icon

Just wondering what guests prefer or do kids not care as long as they are having fun??

I don't really think it makes a difference until the child is 5 or so.

My children love both!! Parties out of the home are great because they really wear the kids out and home parties are fun because the kids aren't rushed and there is always tons of food choices for them!!
For myself -as long as it isn't over 90 degrees I enjoy home parties and as long as there is plenty of room and it is not to crowded a home winter party is fine too!:)
When your daughter is older she will love having home spa parties(so simple to do)!!!Chat Icon

I agree with the 5 statement.. thats when they start seeing and realizing more what other kids are doing. If alot of friends are having parties at places, probable they will want them too. It will be all about what is the "hot" or "In" thing at the time.

My DD is friends with 3-4 year olds and they seem to like having it at a place.
