Do you find yourself avoiding places with kids?
I am starting to and I hate that...It is just too upsetting.
Last night we went to TGI Fridays and I saw a family with 5 kids and I said to DH..they have 5 and we can't even have one

Re: Do you find yourself avoiding places with kids?
It depends. For a while I've avoided baby showers and baby events (ie: christenings, etc...)- but lately I'm trying to face them again. I actually went to one of each today- lol- and I survived! The first one was hard, everyone kept asking me what was new and what we've been up to and I was so tempted to say IVF, getting pregnant, and having a miscarriage- but thought better of it. So I smiled and said 'nothing really'. It was really exhausting. The 2nd event was fun, and I'm glad I went. It really is nice to see someone who you know struggled (not that I'm glad they did) get pregnant, because they were where I am and now they're not (if that makes sense- sorry I'm really tired). It reminds you that there's hope. Seeing kids can make me extremely sad and long for what I don't have but it can also bring me tremendous joy at what I know it's only a matter of time before we have. I don't know what path that will be on, but it will happen- it has to.

Absolutely yes! Since our loss 5 years ago, it's gotten worse. I love going to Atlantic City or the CT casinos partly because it almost guarantees no families. We used to love Halloween, now we don't decorate at all. It's hard and I don't like feeling this way, but I do. I hope you don't have as much time go by as I've had for the feelings to fester.
