No, it's just another thing to empty/clean.

whatever trash I make in the BR (ok that sounds weird...  )
I bring with me to the bathroom or right downstairs.

I never thought of NOT having one. We had them in all the bedrooms at home & DH did too.
If I'm in bed & have to blow my nose, I don't want to get up to throw it out or to leave dirty tissues on the night stand.
I also often clean out my purse in the bedrrom & clean out pockets before putting clothes in the laundry.

Yes! I always had one at my parents' house and just find it to be necessary for clothing tags (dry cleaning or new clothes) tissues and whatever else I need to use it for.

I got a trashcan or receptable in every room in my home plus 2 recycle bins.
It's just a waste of time for us to walk down the hall to another room just to throw away trash.
I also have hay fever 2x a year so it's so much easier having a receptable to throw my rags after i'm done blowing my nose... :)

We don't have one in the bedroom, but we have a bathroom that is attached to our bedroom, so we just have one in there.

ditto, it's a very small one, its not like it takes up alot of room and I found one that matches our bedroom set.

I think we have one in every room of our place, except for the livingroom. Like others said, the one in the bedroom is mostly for tissues and clothing tags.

No we do not. We just use the one in the kitchen. We don't even use the bathroom basket..I hate walking in and seeing garbage in the bathroom waste basket.

yes, 2. one on DH's side and one on mine. we're lazy people....
ETA: we also have one in the kitchen, one in the bathroom, and 2 in the office! i told you we're lazy! no walking around looking for a garbage can for us...no sir!
