Do you have a yearly vacation budget?
Just curious if anyone has a yearly vacation budget 'cus I don't. :D Maybe I should keep tabs.
In general, I try to spend no more than $5k per weekly vacation or $1500 for a long weekend vacation.

Re: Do you have a yearly vacation budget?
Mine is very similar to yours. I try to keep our vacations in a reasonable range, but we go away a lot so I'm not sure what our yearly total would be- I'm probably better off not knowing. But just or sh1ts and giggles I'm going to try to assess this years travels... Weekend in Woodloch- $1300 Florida alone for my sisters bday- $1000 Florida family trip- $2500 Beach rental- $500 Newport with my friends- $500 DH went to OC with his friends- $1000 (that's a guess) Florida family trip- $2500 Aruba with DH for anniversary- $2500
Wow! That's a total of $13,800 on trips!!!! I definitely didn't realize it would be that high. On the upside, I do think we get to do a lot through the year for that money. Realistically, we should probably aim to keep our travel budget closer to $10,000 per year.

No, and I'm honestly afraid to add stuff up LOL. We have been to FL 3 times in the past year, and are going on the Disney Cruise next week. That alone is a pretty penny. But, I don't drink, smoke, have a coffee addiction, buy designer stuff, or have an expensive cell phone/plan. So it all balances out :)

Not really. Our "pattern" seems to be one year smaller, domestic trips, the next year international. It works for us.

No budget. Our biggest issue is finding time.

No budget. I just have an idea in my head of how much we can spend and I usually stick to it. We travel about 4 times per year. One of those times is to Aruba, where we have a house so it's no where near as expensive. We also have a house in Lake George, so again it's not so bad.

Re: Do you have a yearly vacation budget?
No real budget. We probably spend $15-20k per year. We do a lot of long weekend trips and not many vacations that last more than 5 days. 4 nights is our sweet spot with our 2yo and 4yo.
In 2013, we did turks and caicos, Hershey, Boston and have Disney and the Bahamas planned.
In 2014, I want to do Europe, Asia and the Caribbean so we will probably be spending more. We'll see if our kids can handle one long flight trip and take it from there.

Re: Do you have a yearly vacation budget?
No, but just thinking about it..Its around $8K a year. We usually do two week long trips at around $3K each and then one or two long weekends. This year is less, we had to cancel one of our week long trips last minute...We will probably plan better time wise next yr and spend more. Travel is important to me/worth spending any extra money we have on.
