Do you have people who send you insane amounts of FWD e-mails?

My cousin literally sends me 10-15 FWD e-mails daily. I always delete all of them. It makes me feel so bad but I can't be bothered looking through a bunch of crap.

My SIL was famous for this. Finally I said to her, "I don't read any of your emails anymore because it's always crap". She got the point!

Yes, and the offender is my mother I keep telling her to stop, and she keeps saying, "Well if I have to get bombarded, everyone else should, too!"

as soon as i see FWD, i delete about 99% of them.

i have a few people who do this to me:
two cousins and a friend

I hate this, and Ive told a few friends/family that do this, at LEAST to send a HELLO email in addition to all the "junk email" they send.

I just put one on my spam alert yesterday
I delete them all, and tell them with no problem.

Na.. This stuff doesn't bother me. I usually save the forwards & read them when Im bored. Some of them are really good.

I hate hate hate them!!! I especially hate when I get the ones that say" Please send this to 5 other people or you will have bad luck for the rest of your life" Or something stupid like that. I delete them all!!!

Yep. And when they're BS stories that aren't true

like

"Sending this around the world will make microsoft send you to disneyworld/give a dying child a kidney/pay you $100"

or

"Bill Clinton made Israel free one of the 9/11 hijackers in the 90's"

or

"join the do-not-call registry or your cellphone number will be given out to telemarketers"

or

"Angelina Jolie is an antisemite"



I click "reply all" and attach the snopes link or newspaper article proving it false.

When are people going to realize you can't always beleve what you read in an email?

And why send it to 200 people without even trying to verify its validity. It drives me crazy.

my sister has a tendency to send those types of emails to me--especially the "if you don't fwd this in 10 min., you'll die"

so i created my own fwd for her and put:

"If you do not fwd this to as many people as possible, you will wind up going to work tomorrow and getting hit by a mack truck, then when you are recovering in the hospital - a psychotic nurse will attempt to take your life since her cat will be telling her that you must die. Then you will lose your hands and feet due to gangrene. And just when you think it can't get any worse, you'll be diagnosed with a new strain of syphillis and herpes that you contracted from the crazy nurse. So you better send thsi fwd out if you value your life!!!!"

after i sent that, she stopped sending fwds and got the hint

My FIL does this all the time. It has gotten to the point where I just delete them all. If I took time to read everyone he sent I would be on all day.
