Do you love your kitchen floor?
What kind of kitchen floor do you have? Tile? Laminate? High end vinyl? We have kids and a dog so I am looking for something that will be easy to clean and budget friendly.

Do you love your kitchen floor?
We had hardwood and changed it to tile bc it was weird for me to have hardwood lol In our new house we have tile. I like the look of tile but I hate that they crack so easy !

Do you love your kitchen floor?
Bought our house in Sept. We have tile in the kitchen. I hate it. It is so much higher than all the surrounding floors. I want to rip it out and install either hardwood or luxury vinyl tile. But that is down the road.

Ceramic tile. Love it. No issues with cracking as of yet.

When I re-do my kitchen someday, I will probably stick with tile but get a different kind.
I love the look of hardwood in a kitchen, but I don't know if it's practical (lots of wear and tear, near water).

Re: Do you love your kitchen floor?
We have tile that looks like hardwood. In our upstairs bathroom and kitchen. We love it and people can't even tell its not hardwood! It's great because it is fine for water, cooking spills, etc. Let me see if I can dig up a pic . . .
ETA: it is under construction in this pic, so a little dirty!

Re: Do you love your kitchen floor?
We have hardwood. I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love how it looks but it gets really beat up because our kitchen is the most trafficked area.

Thanks! We get a lot of compliments on it! And it's so durable, I would highly recommend. They do a chocolate grout, so it kind of blends in.

Re: Do you love your kitchen floor?
WE just installed good quality laminate. It looks just like stone tile. I LOVE it. I have a hard time with standing on real tile for any length of time. It kills my back. We tossed around doing hardwood in there, but thought it was such a high traffic area, with 2 kids and a dog it would look like crap in no time.

Re: Do you love your kitchen floor?
Bamboo. Essentially "hard wood", but it is so much stronger than any hard wood out there. Nearly impossible to dent or gouge. (I love giving people a hammer and a sample and have them try and dent it... ) It's also very eco-friendly, which is a huge plus. I love it, and would definitely do it again.

Re: Do you love your kitchen floor?
I have hardwood and I don't love it. I loved it when we first got it and it was new, but our kitchen is a high traffic area, and the floor is 7 years old now and shows a lot of wear and tear.
I think the tile that looks like wood shown above is a beautiful option!!!

Re: Do you love your kitchen floor?
Hate my kitchen floor its an old off white ceramic tile. You drop a glass it shatters everywhere. There are so many dings and cracks I can't stand it. I have a galley that opens up to an eat in, basically a T shape that is very high traffic. I would love a vinyl that looks like hardwood.

This, it is also white with these off white/beige marks on them that just look like dirt. It has pitting in it to resemble like a tumbled/distressed look and the dirt just sits in those grooves.
HATE IT.
We are currently renting but are considering buying this house. If we do, we are redoing the flooring on the entire first floor (remove carpet and refinish/repair/replace hard wood and replace tile in kitchen/bath)

Re: Do you love your kitchen floor?
we replaced ceramic tile with wood laminate in our house. The wood laminate is scratch resistant and wood laminate has come such a long way it's not as much as an issue with water.
