Do you or your DH/SO travel for work?

Yes, we both do. And we both DON'T enjoy it
DH doesn't go often, but when he does go, it is for a long time. he was gone last month for 3 weeks straight.
I don't travel often either, just a few times a year, but when I do it is last minute and I hate that! I hate going out of the country, only 3 days notice, by mysef ETA: If I knew at least 2 weeks in advance, I would not mind.

I don't travel & neither does DH. I almost imagine I would NOT like it if I had to though

Dh used to travel for his old job...he liked it because he got out of the house (he worked from home)

DH does sometimes. He enjoys it b/c he goes just to entertain clients (sporting events, going out to clubs, etc.)

DH does usually every 3-4 months...It is not for a long period of time though, at most 5 days...I don't really mind it too much as I find things to keep myself busy.

DH loves it to an extent. He likes to travel & see other clients but hates missing out on deals back here!

We both do, sometimes to other countries or just other states. I hold the record between the 2 of us though - I was out of the country (coming home on weekends though) for nearly 3 months.

As long as we travel with co-workers we like, we both enjoy traveling for work. Also, it helps to know exactly when you're coming home. We've both had instances where the client didn't know if we'd need to be away for a few days or a few weeks. That part can be really frustrating.

DH travels every few months... its usually not for long, maybe 3 days or so. he works for the army as a civilian engineer, so they'll send him places to test different projects. we actually both don't mind it- lol... it gives us just a long enough break from each other... i love not having to cook for a couple days, too!

sometimes and I have come to HATE it!! I have not had to leave the country for work but I have had to go as far as CA and a few mid west places.

I did not mind it when I was single or even dating but lately I just hate being away from my own bed.

I travel occasionally for work. I don't mind it. But I think I the next one, coming up in September will be the last one. I'm going to talk to my boss and see if it's necessary form me to go.

The traveling we do is for tradeshows (we are a vendor) and I've already trained someone to take my place since DH and I are now TTC. I don't want to commit to traveling and then not be able to go last minute because I find out I'm pregnant.

DH does not travel. Although he is putting his resume back together for a position that has opened up with another company. If he applies/gets it he will travel a minimum of once a month for a max of 5 days at a time.

I'm actually not too thrilled about it. But, he's gotta do what he's gotta do! Especially since he is the breadwinner in our family.

We both travel but it is very intermittant and we have advance notice...i used to love it, but now with DS I am unsure whether i will love it anymore

DH does...a lot. About 8 weeks a year.
Combined with his work schedule, we figured out that I see him on average 6.5-7 months a year.

I travel very minimally, but he travels every month usually locally. His last trip though was to Korea and Taiwan for 9 days. He'll be doing more international travel now I absolutely HATE it, he's not to fond of it either.

DH travels - not all that often, maybe for 4 days every other month or so and then for a week and a half once a year for the Team Summit.

Neither of us do.

If anything I would 1x in about 6 years. It used to be twice a year, before that I would be away for January & February.

Dh does and the wonderful benefits arewhat make it worth it...otherwise I hate it. Last year I was able to take off work and go with him on his travels- and it was fun most of the time, but lonely...so this year I am going back to work. The contract he signed was for two years and this May it is up! I am happy! Then he will have a "normal" job where he travels occassionally and that will be MUCH better!

We both do, but maybe once a quarter. My DH is still training at his job, so he has to go away for little overnights about once a week now.

Neither of us mind it, I used to travel 2-3 weeks out of the month when we met, so now it's so intermittent we barely notice.

DH travels pretty often.

He hates traveling to China, which unfortunately he has to do at least 4 times a year for a minimum of a week at a time.

Domestically he doesn't seem to mind (in fact I think it's good for him) unless there are issues with the flights.

I find that he ends up getting more stressed from the traffic on the way to and from the NYC airports!!!

I do about 3 times a yr. I've only gone on one trip so far this yr but when I was hired they told me 3X per yr. My DH travels occaisionally and its his own business so we have to pay which sucks. From what I've seen, occaisional travel is not bad. Constant travel wears on a person.

I travel about 1-4 times a year. I don't mind getting out of the office.

Sometimes DH comes with me or meets me there, which can be fun.

I mind it a little, b/c sometimes the timing is annoying, like getting back from Nashville about 10 hours before closing on my apt. I was so nervous about my flight be cancelled & screwing everything up.

DH travels CONSTANTLY for his new job. Thankfully, it's only 4 day workweeks and then we have a 3 day weekend together. It's usually when they're working on a big project that takes weeks to complete.

He's currently doing one in the Berkshiers. I plan on going with him once in the winter so we can learn to ski

I miss him so much when he's gone but I am at work so much during the week, I am hardly at home anyway

I do, about 6-8 times a year. It isn't spread out that well though.

I hate it, I never sleep well and I'd much rather be at my desk as opposed to being in all day meetings and conferences.
