Do you paint your baseboards, outlet covers etc or not?
My mother always painted them to match the wall. She didn't like how they stuck out. She would also paint light switch covers and buy the paintable outlet covers as well. She always did a great job and it looked nice.
Im thinking Id like to keep it white. She thinks Im the odd one so I was just wondering LOL

I like the contrast of the baseboards and outlet covers. I have gotten the wallpaper outlet covers for a bathroom once. You can take wallpaper (I had border paper in the room), or any kind of fabric or paper, and put it between the two pieces of clear plastic, then screw that onto the wall switch or outlet cover. Other than that, I prefer the white.

When they are painted over I always think they must have been really old & the people painted over them b/c didn't want to buy new ones when they painted. I bought some of the decorative ones that are like the wallpaper described above but I got them from an e-bay seller who makes them. I would not have made them as neatly.

Our baseboards are wood and the wall outlet plates are white. I'd like to get wood ones and stain to match but I can't be bothered lol

Re: Do you paint your baseboards, outlet covers etc or not?
When you say baseboards, do you mean the moldings on the bottom of the wall, or the things that give off heat? My bil (aka my contractor) and I always confuse each other when we talk lol
Our heating things are staying whatever white color they are The wood trim around the bottom of the walls is painted white The switch plates etc will be the same shade of white they came as

Ps- that little guy by your username is so cute!!

All white (not painted). In fact, when we bought our home, the previous owners had painted over everything! It bothered me so much that we bought all new baseboard heating (backs and covers) and replaced them. It cost much more than just painting them, but I knew I wouldn't be happy until they were replaced. Same thing for all outlet covers and light switches.
