Do you pay all your bills on time?

If something is due say, on the 15th, but you don't get paid until a couple days later, will you let it slide, especially if there's NOT a late penalty?

What kinds of bills do you consider okay to let slide a couple of days?

Or is paying ANYTHING late a major no-no to you? Discuss!

I always pay everything on time - no exceptions.

I try to pay them all on time, unless I forget about a certain bill & realize it later, but otherwise I try to get it paid a few days before it's due.

We never pay anything late. I think 99% of our bills are automatically withdrawn from our account so the money has to always be there.

I would love to be able to say that I always pay everything on time, but unfortunately I can't. My finances are very tight and something always comes up unexpectedly. There have been many instances where I am just waiting to get paid to pay something. I try to pay all the credit accounts first, then I pay the utilities since they don't affect your credit score. My mortgage is always paid on time.

I pay everything on time. The only one I have let slide once or twice is cablevision. Credit cards, electric and mortgage always on time...

I usually pay bills a week before they are due. If I can't because $$ is tight, I'll at least pay on the due date.

I'd say that 95% of our payments in the past 10 yrs or so have been on time or early. If any bills are paid early it's hardly ever more than 5 days before they're due.

If a bill is paid after the due date, it's only if they don't tack on any fees.

Always on time and in full unless it's a bill with 0 interest for first 2 or so years like special furniture purchase. Then that can slide until the due date. :D

I am single and self employed

this is the first month I have paid my car payment on time in months

same with my cell phone

I actually made 3 car payments in the last 2 weeks- it feels good to be caught back up- and now I need to focus on getting head - I was very stressed being so late on things- I didn't like it

it's hard when you don't know when you are getting paid- but April, May and June will be good for me- and that money is going in the BANK

I pay my bills based on when I get my paycheck and when they are due, i.e. I get paid on the 15th and the last day of the month. So all the bills that are due between 1-15th get paid in my end of previous month's paycheck and same for 15-30th.

So sometimes I wind up paying stuff really early, but whatever.

We pay all bills on time and in full.

We get paid bi-weekly on the same schedule.

I pay bills twice a month. Once when the mortgage is due and then when the c/c is due. Since those are the only bills with late fees, those are the dates I go by.

So if the cc bill is due the 20th and cable is due the 18th, it waits since I'm not going to pay each bill separately.

Usually, unless I don't have the money. But I'm NEVER late on credit cards. Don't want late fees or problems with my credit, but if I'm short on cash, I'll pay my car and cell phone a lil late.

I have overdraft on my checking account for this very reason

I am self employed and sometimes I'm waiting on clients to pay me, but I pay my bills ontime and pay myself back if I used my overdraft once I get paid from clients.
