Do you pay sales tax on your lawn maintenance?
Is this a taxable service? My landscaper randomly started charging tax last summer, and every time I get a bill I wonder about the tax...

It's a service and yes it's taxable.
If you don't pay tax it's possible it's already included or your landscaper is not paying tax.
I don't care if they pay their taxes. I give them money and they do my lawn.

I always thought that services were not taxable, but products were.
For example, at our wedding we did not pay tax on the cost of our dj, but did pay tax on the cost of our photographer.

same here. Yes it is a taxable service in NYS.
