Do You Put DC to Nap in the Swing?
My 3 month old DS naps 10-15 mins. tops when lying down in his bassinet but 1-2 hour easily in his swing.
Somehow I feel like I'm cheating by putting him in the swing to nap.
Just wondering if any other parents also do this too and whether DC outgrows this ... I'll like to have him sleep in his crib if only he sleeps longer!

I didn't. I was so strict with naps, unless we were out then she slept so good in the carseat! When we are home though it is in the crib! Eventually her naps have gotten to be longer..

Lily napped and fell asleep in her swing for 8 months. So I see nothing wrong with it.

They napped in the swing for about 8 months, when they outgrew it I would rock them in the carriage.

My kids have never napped anywhere else but their swings. They sleep in their cribs at night

Cheating? If he likes it, then go for it.
My guy takes his shortest naps in the swing, but after he eats breakfast, I put him in there so I can eat, make the bed and even shower. I see nothing wrong at all. My DS is 8 weeks.

Yes. I don't know what I would do without the swings.

Re: Do You Put DC to Nap in the Swing?
My DD would not nap unless in my arms. This made the first several months very, very difficult. So, if I could get her to sleep in the swing, then YES I would leave her there and take the time to finally eat or pee!
My DD finally became a great napper at around 5 months old. Now she won't fall asleep anywhere but her crib.

Re: Do You Put DC to Nap in the Swing?
DS will not nap in his crib during the day. I think he knows it is light out and refuses. So he either sleeps in the swing, or next to one of us.
Put him in the swing, your DS needs the sleep.

Re: Do You Put DC to Nap in the Swing?
The swing is the only place other than my arms where DS will nap. He takes long naps in the swing, which is really nice b/c that's the only time I can really get things done.

Re: Do You Put DC to Nap in the Swing?
That was the only place that Grace would nap until she was 6 months old. Now she is 2 and naps in her crib. There was no problem transitioning. So far, Jack has spent the night in the swing. He will only sleep on top of me or there so I have no choice.
