Do you put lotion on your toddler/preschooler every day?
We never really had to use lotion much for DD, her skin was always nice. But over the last 6 months or so, her skin has gotten progressively more dry. I’m not into using lotion if I don’t need it (another thing to buy ), but will start if it will help her.
I also think I’m being thrown off because I have a baby around again—baby’s skin is so darn soft and smooth, so I’m comparing it to DD’s, who’s 3.

DS has started to get this weird skin on his arms and legs that the ped called chicken skin . So, we've been putting lotion on his skin more than we had. I'm hoping that his nice smooth skin comes back.

I put it on her as needed, but not everyday.
She gets really dry legs for some reason so I put lotion on them after a bath.

I will be putting lotion on DS every day going forward. he's been scratching his legs and he's starting to get dry, itchy skin like I have. So he is going to be coated for the fall/winter seasons!

No... but recently I've noticed T's skin is getting dry and bumpy. I put lotion on him the other night and he fought me saying it was "uncomfortable".

In the fall and winter, pretty much yes. My DS has eczema too and the more moisturized he is, the fewer flare ups we get.

Pretty much every night after his bath. He had been getting little dry patches, which the doctor thought might be mild eczema. We've been doing it ever since he was about 7 months or so.

No, DS takes a bath/shower every evening so I lather him up every other day during the winter. Other than that, unless his skin is dry, I don't.
