Do you put something under furniture legs on hardwood floors?
This is my first time with hardwood (bamboo) floors that I care about not scratching. It's in an office, so there will be chairs, tables, cabinets, etc. I'm planning on getting either a chairmat, or maybe a small area rug for under the chairs.
What do you do about other furniture, like tables, bookcases, etc?

same here.
edit:
If the furniture piece doesn't have legs - I don't put anything under it.
If I have to move the piece - I'll shove something - like a hand towel - under each corner and slide it around.

OK, that's what I was planning on getting. Just wondering if they worked. Apparently, they do.
Oh, the stress of having a brand-new house, and actually worrying about scratching and dinging stuff....

Yup, they work!
When we redid our house, it took a long time for me to stop being afraid every little thing I did would "ruin" it.

Re: Do you put something under furniture legs on hardwood floors?
totally works and totally worth it. They even sell them at HD & Lowes in large packages. I think they even have long rectangle stripes too or round. We have the these on a lot of things in the house because of the hardwood floors. well worth the purchase. But they do collect dust, so be ready to pick the dust off.
How is the house coming along? Any new pics?

Re: Do you put something under furniture legs on hardwood floors?
We just ordered stay furniture grippers for our new wood floor. We watched the news program they have on this site, and decided to order them because the felt pads in the stores seemed like things would still slip.
I haven't put them under my furniture yet, but we should be doing it this week. I even spoke with the owner, easy person to speak to.

Felt if I wanted the piece to move, like chairs. Rubber cups if I wanted it to stay put.
