What color floors with dark furniture? Any pics?
We are going to get hardwood floors put down in the downstairs of our house next month and I am having a hard time choosing a color. We have dark furniture in the rooms. What color floor would look good with it? Do you have pics of yours? Thanks.

I have cherry furniture and we did oak colored floors. I loved the contrast, it made my furniture stand out more.
My IL's have dark furniture, same color as mine, and dark floors, the furniture and the floor blend together.

I think I would like to do a medium color floor. I am not a light wood person but would like to not go too dark that my furniture gets lost and the room seems smaller and darker.

we have that traditional golden oak color that is in older houses (you know- when the wood is under carpet for 50 years and then you rip up the carpet and you are psyched?)
we have a mix of dark & light furniture (in one room) and it is great b/c it's in the middle of both.

Ditto this. We have a mix throughout the house and all the furniture looks good. Not to mention that the lighter color doesn't show dust as much as a darker color would.

We also did a golden oak stain, with our dark wood furniture. Looks very nice. I thought an unstained floor might be too light compared to all dark wood furniture.

the house was all hardwood except the den. we had the carpet removed and hardwood installed. because the den and kitchen are next to one another, we needed the color to match. not sure of the stain color but it matches perfectly with the kitchen. furniture in the den is a combo of medium and dark woods.
so to answer your question, i would opt for a medium tone. i LOVE dark stained wood floors but it is a PITA to keep clean. Image Attachment(s):
