do you really save money by buying meat in bulk from costco/bjs?

i have a bjs card. i dont go as often as i like but i am wondering if you really save money on buying meat in bulk as opposed to buying meat from the supermarket...
is it cheaper by the pound at cosco? or at the supermarket?

please weigh in!thanks!!

The supermarket is MUCH cheaper when they have sales for some of the meats. Sometimes it is the exact same. The quality of the meat at Costco is REALLY good. It always pays to know your prices (I'm horrible at that, so I always just buy thingsChat Icon)

I choose neither the warehouse clubs nor the regular supermarkets (like KK, S&S, PM, or Waldbaums).

Going to a place like Compare Foods is a really good idea. Their meat is much better than a lot of the supermarkets - at least at the Compare near me (Farmingville).

i completely agree. if you know your sales prices at the supermarket then they are way better than costco and bj's.
