I sent cards to family and close friends. I don't care at all if I get a card back or not.

No, it is not the rule as there are still some people that dont send and I still send to them. However, this year there were two relatives that I know send to other relatives who have not sent to use that I decided to cut.

Same here. I didn't send out as many when I sent paper cards but, I send out a lot of photo cards now since it's easy.

Well not everyone who doesn't send. I send them to everyone I want to wish a happy holiday regardless of whether they do cards or not.
Ditto...I send cards to people I haven't seen since my wedding, including cousins and that has been 8.5 years. I know they enjoy seeing them.
The people who probably appreciate the cards the most are my grandmothers friends. They are in there 80's and 90's and look forward to seeing my kids every year even though I haven't seen them since I was probably a child.

I don't send out cards so if I don't send to you, it's not because you're not on my list It's just because I don't have one!
When we hopefully have kids one day, I'll make cards with the kids pictures on them. Years and years of getting flooded with holiday pics of other peoples kids and I'll finally get to have my revenge

I have a 2 year rule...if I send you for two years and you don't send me...you are off the list.
I have cut down a lot of people that way!
I do this too, unless its close friends or family. Then I always send them out.

I have a set list of family, friends, and DHs coworkers that we send to regardless of whether they send to us. We send out about 75ish cards each yr.

Eh, yes and no. There are people who I know don't send and I def send to them anyway- this includes some singles and elderly. However, I have cut people that I know send but just don't send one to US. That's like a smack in the face if you ask me. I rush one out to anyone who sent us that I didn't send. Sometimes it's hard to know though who sends but just not to you.

I still send them for the most part, i have a lot of people that don't send back (lots of family friends) but i know not everyone is a 'card' person...i also worry if they go to that person's house that i sent one to, and see my card,they will get offended that they didn't get one.

Absolutely! I don't care who sends me cards and I don't even keep track. Some people don't like to, some people can't afford to, some people are too busy with more important things. We send to all our friends and family no matter what.

It depends. I wouldn't cut out family members or anything...but I have cut out a few people from whom we've grown apart.
