Do you still smoke if you were/are a smoker???

My sister has a friend who is still smoking and she's 18 weeks.

I couldn't believe it.

I thank God that I had quit a long time ago, because I can only imagine how hard it would be to stop now.

I quit prior TTC. For me, for the baby and for DH. I have no urge no go back. I hate the smell of it now.

I quit years ago, but I always swore if I were still smoking if I got PG that I would quit for that. Also I asked DH to quit once the baby was born & he has been really good at keeping to his word

My SIL quit, but she would have one if she was stressed. She smoked on her way to the hospital to deliver my neice

I quit in January because we planned to TTC this year, and I wanted that out of my system way beforehand.

One of my girlfriends smoked throughout her entire pregnancy and her daughter suffered several side effects because of it.

I have a friend who lied to me about smoking during her pregnancy. I would hear her puffing away while we were on the phone. Same friend probably drank because I cannot see her quitting. I don't think I know anyone else who smoked or drank during pregnancy. I wonder how people get away with it when they are showing. They must get so many comments.

I quit way before TTC, but my sister smoked throughout her whole pregnancy...but just less than normal. Not good. I hated to see her smoke while pg. Her baby was born a month early and was 5lbs 6oz

I quit when I started stimming for IVF but my aunts and a friend smoked throughout their entire pregnancy

sorry, not a smoker here, but one of mikes aunts and uncles smokes all the time, like you come home from a family party clothes reeking of it. And there child has asthma so bad they have to take her to the hospital for asthma attacks. Please I wish people who smoke to smoke outside so kids dont have to bear the side effects of second hand....

It's so weird because back in the day women were told it was ok to smoke. My mom smoked with my sister and I (we came out 7 lbs and 8 lbs respectively), but by the time my brother came along they told her not to smoke anymore. So she quit.

But now it is SO looked down upon. I can't imagine the looks I would get being pregnant and smoking.

my neighbor smoked throughout her entire pregnancy. As she has with her other children. Her kids have all been healthy and born over 7lbs. Its almost a shame b/c maybe if she had some issues she would quit.

my DH and I both quit when I found I was pregnant. (as Ive done in the past) After I gave birth to the twins all I wanted someone to bring me was a pack of Parliament! This time around Ive been forbidden to go back..I have to admit that its very very tempting. But I cant stand disappointing my older girls or my DH.

Im not a smoker, but has anyone seen that commerical with the babies and the birth weights? It upsets me terriblly. I had 7 week early preemies and can't imagine being responsible for their early birth.
