do you think a cruise would be fun with...
Dh, myself and our 2 year old? or do you think we should ask other people to come. I really enjoy spending time with Dh but are cruises better with friends?

We are debating a cruise out of Mobile, AL or WDW when Dh gets back... Dh is more for WDW since he feels bad that I can't drink and basically in his opinion cruise = drinking.

I think you would have a great time. My BIL & SIL took our nephew on a NCL cruise last April & he was only 9 months old. They had a great time & the baby enjoyed himself too

Re: do you think a cruise would be fun with...
I have been on cruises with DH alone, for a family reunion, and with my BIL and his GF- all were fun, but different- I don't think you NEED to have people there to have a good time, we have a fabulous time without others there- but it's fun to have them around too

I think it depends on what cruise line you are considering as some are more children friendly than others. I don't think you need other people but a 2 year old might not have that much to do - as they can't go into the pools until they are toliet trained. I think a lot of the children programs do not start until age 3.
I think the three of you could have a great time without friends - I would just try to pick something with more days in port than sea days just so you can do more as a family.
I would check out cruisecritic.com as there are a lot of parents and they can give you great tips for traveling with children that age!

I think it is fine to go by yourselves--we went on our honeymoon and had a great time!! It is all of what you make of it....we met a group of fun people and hung out with them on the islands and at night...it was great!
