Do you think I should throw out milk that I pumped and freezed but didnt refrigerate first??
I didnt realize you were supposed to refrigerate it first....why do you have to do that?

nah, just smell it before you use it. if it smells bad, then toss it.

Me too, pump and freeze. Never heard you had to "chill" BM before freezing.
DONT WASTE THAT MILK!

i've never heard of that so i've never done it. i've used plenty of milk from the freezer with no problems. DO NOT throw it out!

No. I've frozen it w/o putting it in the fridge first and it was fine. (I always smell it. The smell is awful if it turns  )

this is the first time hearing about pumping - refrigerate - then freeze method. i've always pumped and freeze. i'm not gonna toss all my hard work. i'll take whatever precautions, if necessary before doing so, tho.

I never heard of refrigerating before freezing. Mine always goes straight in the freezer and there has never been a problem with the frozen stuff.

Me too. I do, however, remember reading about refrigerating before freezing. It has something to do with slowly cooling the milk, which lessens damaging the antibodies and vitamins in the milk.

Mine has always gone straight into the freezer... don't throw away that liquid gold!!!
DS has been eating it for the last 2 months and all is good!
