Do you think NASA is a failure?
thinking about the shuttle, all the issues it faces today( Im also reading a Dan Brown book with this as a focus)
Do you feel the BILLIONS of dollars the taxpayers/Government gives to NASA is worth what we get...National Pride, Space Research...
Or do you feel that Nasa should basically shut down/become something the private sector pays for.
I mean there is no middle gorund due to the cost of all its endevours.

Re: Do you think NASA is a failure?
I don't think they are a failure and i don't think they should close up shop. I think space exploration is very important. But I do feel as though they move very slowly, especially with shuttle launches. I know the Columbia tragedy was a set back, but I feel more shuttles, more frequently should be going up to explore new things. And now, all that is halted til they fix or come up with a new fule tank. I just feel like technologically they are falling behind and I kinda expect more out of NASA. Hopefully, they will fix the current problems and be back up exploring. I truly wish they would finish the space station already so they can go back to the moon and exploring other things.
