throwing a party for my dad's 65th bday. Its at a catering hall. I never got to order favors with everything going on with sandy (im not living at home now).

Honestly most people throw them out. I don't think they are a necessity.

The only people who look for them are the older people. Being it's a 65th bday party, are there a lot of people that age or older?

Maybe you can grab mini wine bottles and put a ribbon on them. I got them for my MIL's 60th for just over $1 each.

Or Even make some sugar cookies and stick them in clear party bags with ribbon.

I personally could care less about getting a favor. But like I said, older people usually get all bent outta shape about it lol

I had favors for DH's 35th. I always think it's a nice gesture. Like the PPs mentioned, you could do mini wine bottles... edible favors always go over well!
