Do you think the 25% to 35% decline rate is true for bday parties?

You know how they say when planning your wedding-- 25% to 35% of the guest list won't come.
I am putting together my list for Sasha's bday and trying to get a sense of how many people I will actually have.
I will also say that not everyone is totally local, and where I live (and where the party is) is kinda a PITA to get to since you have to drive through Manhattan for anyone who lives in NY-- which bascially is my whole guest list except for local mommy friends.

Feb birthday here as well and Im thinking the weather is not going to help us either Sorry to be debbie downer!
I will say that I think people make more of an effort when it is a 1st birthday. We live upstate by Saratoga and we have travelled for family 1st birthday parties to manhattan & LI

I think it also depends on the time of year
I had DS baptism in July and many people were in vacation
Also--DS#1 bday is in May (communion time) so I have lots of declines for that reason

OK-- so, I am safe to assume that at least 25% won't come-- with the fact it's:
1. Feb
2. at 11 in the morning (harder for those traveling a bit further)
3. AND Superbowl Sunday.
Cause I have about 67 adults and 20ish kids.

Would like to see that is true...DS Birthday party is tomorrow and we only had 3 people who RSVP that they will not be able to come.
