Do you think this Friday is too soon to take Holiday photos?

I am taking E for her 1st B-day pics on Friday and was thinking to bring her holiday dress to kill two birds with one stone - do you think it's too early?

I am going to try Picture People for the first time.

Go for it! Going to the picture places is so stressful, getting it all done in one shot would be perfect!

I don't know. I have a thing about taking holiday pictures too early. IMO, they change so much at this age and I just don't want to look at her Christmas pictures and think that they were taken before Halloween.

This is what I am worried about too. Worst case scenario, I don't use them, but then should I just bring her first b-day dress and then a casual outfit?

Since you have the opportunity to do them at the same time, I'd do it. If that wasn't the case, I wouldn't normally make an appointment this early.

That's a good point, you can take them and then if you decide not to use them, no biggie. I would bring the outfit that you planned for her-her Christmas dress or other outfit.

Not too early, at least I don't think so. One less thing you have to worry about in the holiday madness. I love the way PP pictures come out. Be prepared to spend a long time there though. Hopefully they are better at that one than the 2 I've tried in IL. It took forever -- I had to leave for 45 minutes while they load the pics (DD & I went to have lunch,) then picking the pics I wanted took a really long time. They did print them up pretty quickly though. It was really hard to pick because all of the shots were so amazing. Chat Icon I think next time, I'll see if I can leave and come back that evening by myself.

It's only in 2 months away. By the time you go, get the pics, write everything, get the adresses, etc. you will just have to wait a little bit to mail after Thanksgiving which is only in 1 month.

I say do it now before the madness. Especially if you are going to be there anyway.

I didn't think of that. Chat Icon DD has changed alot in the last few weeks. Take them and then if you don't like them, do them later. Chat Icon

Re: Do you think this Friday is too soon to take Holiday photos?

I agree with others. Normally I would say it's too early, I don't like to do ours much before Thanksgiving since I feel like DD grows each day, but since you already have the appt., I'd probably take her Christmas dress.

If I were you, I would totally do it...

But for me, who is still behind on Halloween and light years from Thanksgiving (even though I am most likely having it at my house!) Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Do you think this Friday is too soon to take Holiday photos?

We were at Sears to attempt my son's 2nd birthday pictures over the weekend, and there were tons of people there with their babies/kids doing holiday pictures already

So I def. say not too early!
